Giovanni Solari Awarded the 2006 Jack E. Cermak Medal |

 Giovanni Solari, Ph.D, P.E., was awarded the 2006 Jack E. Cermak Medal for relevant scientific researches in the wind enginering field with an unusal ability in dealing with scientific and technical problems, for the significant influence in U. S. wind engineering practice, and for the important contribution to the development of the IAWE association. Dr. Sloari is currently professor of Structural Dynamics and Wind Engineering at Genoa University, Italy. The award was presented at the 2006 Structures Congress in St.Louis, Missouri.
The Jack E. Cermak Meday was established by the Engineering Mechanics Division and the Structural Engineering Institute to recognize Dr. Jack E. Cermak's lifetime achievements in the field of wind engineering and industrial aerodynamics. The medal is awarded for cumulative distinguished contributions in wind engineering.
